Amazon.com Product Description:
Tired of feeling adrift on the course? Turn to the iGolf GPS Caddie II, a handy golf-course aid that automatically calculates the distances to key points on any golf course in the world. The iGolf GPS Caddie II features such construction details as a large, easy-to-read LCD screen and a durable, lightweight housing. Once you step on the course, however, form takes a backseat to function, as the GPS Caddie II displays the distance to the front, center, and back of the green, while also letting users add up to eight custom points per hole. As a result, you can estimate whether you'll carry the water hazard with your 3-wood or whether you should lay up, and you'll have a better idea of when the sand traps come into play. Estimating your club strength is even easier when using the shot distance feature, which shows you how far you hit each club on average.

The GPS Caddie II displays the distance to the front, center, and back of the green.
The GPS Caddie II holds up to 40 courses at once, and you can easily download other courses from iGolf.com when traveling beyond your home turf. It's also easy to map any course or add custom points yourself, should the downloaded info come up short. Best of all, the GPS Caddie II is accurate within 1 to 3 yards, so you don't have to worry whether your 7-iron is really the right club when attacking the pin.

The GPS Caddie II is ready to use out of the box without requiring any additional software or hardware for custom mapping. However, you'll need a computer and Internet access if you'd like to download pre-mapped golf courses from iGolf.com (subscription required). The GPS Caddie II--which comes with a USB cable, software CD, and belt clip--runs for up to 14 hours on two alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries. The unit itself measures 2.18 by 4.62 by 1.31 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 6.3 ounces.

Customer Reviews

Horrible products, horrible service
I've had a couple of iGolf units, the latest I had purchased was an iGolf "Saturn" - the unit stopped working after a couple month of use, it just shut down seconds after it was turned on constantly. I had it RMA'd 2x, same results, warranty ran out and they asked me for another 0 for the latest piece of garbage which had beta firmware - to which I refused. I then purchased a Garmin G5, which has no yearly subscription fee (iGolf does), it works great, it has 12,000 courses on the unit from the start. Much better than the iGolf products by a long shot.

Not worth the money
I bought this back in 2008. I got about 1 year of use out of this. Many of the courses are not covered. After buying this device you have to pay a membership which entitles you to a specific # fo courses- Many of which are not available. When you call the company they are not much help (felt like they just gave me the blow off). Now for the kicker.. the device has a small cheap clip on the back whch is not very reliable at holding the device on your golf bag or belt (mine broke). The Caddie II goes through batteries very quickly and you cannot use rechargeable batteries... if you do it locks up and you have to reset the entire unit (Loosing all the golf courses you had saved to the unit). This is not good when you have a tournament to go to and POOF the unit locks up!! Be ready to buy tons of batteries. Needless to say the unit (without the clip) is subkect to a lot of vibration if you ride with it in the cup holder in the cart. This thing hates vibration as with any electronic device. My unit no longer works! I think this was a quick easy way for company to make money. Buy a bertter branded product!!! It will save you money and time!

Great simple device, great price
I bought this for 5 and paid for the annual membership. I downloaded 101 courses, all that I could think of that I might play.

Pros:
-Cost
-Ease of use
-8 Custom points per hole (lay up, carry distances, etc.)
-No need to pay membership every year
-Very responsive customer service
-40 courses stored on device!!
-Can share courses with others

Cons:
-No rechargeable batteries (make sure you have spare batteries in your bag at all times)
-Slow upload/downloads of courses

Overall, I am very happy with this device. Many friends have the Sky Caddie and I am still very glad I purchased this device.

Golf GPS
One of the better GPS units for golf that is not hyped up with graphics. This system provides accurate shot making data.

Good Deal
I purchased this item and wont play golf without it now! If you spend a lot of time looking for yardage markers or guessing, this is the product for you. You can spend a whole lot more on other devices that do everything except hit your ball but why? This gives me just what I need. Accurate yardage to the front center and rear of the green! Great deal for the money!
